Monitoring website downtimes is next to impossible for a individual and small businesses. There are lots of paid variations which allow you to analyze your websites for downtime, not many of these are worthwhile to use but eventually you have to pay a price in one way or another. I will admit I haven’t ever used the RSS feeder feature so I couldn’t comment any further on this. I find email contact works fine for me and have no need for anything else.

As a human it is nearly impossible to monitor your site every minute of the day to see if it is up and running. Montastic is created and maintained by enthusiastic developers  and after using it for a few months I have hardly found any free website tools that can match this service.  I have been asked does it send a email everytime my website goes down and all I can say is yes!

Remember this is a free service so if it only emailed me 9 out 10 downtimes then that’s better than nothing is it not?
